About Me

Hi, I'm Cathy,

I am a trauma-informed therapist, coach and neurodiversity specialist, offering face to face sessions from therapy rooms in Croxley Green (near Watford, Herts) and online sessions, offering flexibility to those that would prefer to access my service from the comfort of their own home.

The course of my life has been a little bumpy and I learnt, first-hand, early on that a person’s well-being can be very fragile and easily knocked off course by events. I am also part of a wonderful, extended neurodiverse family and I so appreciate the joys, but also the difficulties this can bring.

CATHERINE POWELL BSc (Hons), HPD, DipCHyp, NLP Master Prac.

Having worked in industry and education, studied psychology and trained extensively in the field of neurodiversity, I then studied under Trevor Silvestor at the renowned Quest Institute to gain my Diploma in Cognitive Hypnotherapy and Master Practitioner certification in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). I subsequently trained in Applied Memory Deconsolidation and Reconsolidation (AMDR) under Gill Wood and Joshua Isaac Smith to enable me to work as a trauma-informed therapist.

I offer neurodivergent clients therapeutic support but also practical support via my SEN (Special Educational Needs) Consultancy. Whether it be to understand your or your child’s needs better, to provide reports for school, including in-depth assessments using PAGS (Profile, Assessment and Goal Setting) https://www.pagsprofile.com), support the diagnostic pathway or EHCP (Education Health & Care Plan) applications/appeals or provide advocacy services, I am able to help.

I am passionate about supporting my clients to find out how they can quickly achieve positive change in their lives. For a free, no-obligation, 30 minute consultation by phone or video call, please contact me
